Budget Friendly Lightweight Hiking Pants For Women
I'm usually somewhat skeptical when purchasing hiking apparel online. I'm a curvy gal, and finding proper fitting women's hiking pants can be frustrating. Either they fit my waist but are too tight around my hips and thighs, or they sit so low on my waistline I'm afraid to sit down. And while I love some of the more renowned name brand apparel, not everyone can spend $75+ on a single pair of lightweight hiking pants.
So I searched for an inexpensive pair of lightweight outdoor pants on Amazon. After spending several hours sifting through the site and reading 1000's of online reviews, I decided to buy Toomett's 01 Army Green lightweight hiking pants. Not to be confused with the Toomett's Army Green Summer hiking pant. The other colors seem to be made by a different manufacturer.
And to my surprise, these quick-dry hiking pants by Toomett I found on Amazon are fantastic for the price. At just under $40, these hiking pants are quite comfortable with a semi-elastic waist and button closure. The loose fit gives you ample room to move despite not having a gusseted crotch like more expensive brands.
I put these hiking pants to the test and hiked roughly 50 miles in them on all types of terrain, and so far, I love them. They have lots of full zipper pockets with easy pull tabs attached. The front pockets are quite deep, and the side pockets fit my OnePlus7 phone with the attached pop-socket on the case nicely.
I chose not to use the belt that accompanies the pant because it was far too long and didn't fit. But a standard belt fits in the loops perfectly.
Sizing For The Perfect Fit Hiking Pants
The sizing chart for this Amazon seller is a bit wonky, so I'm adding my measurements to help you. Again, I'm a curvy gal, at 5'2" and weighing approx. 150lbs. My waist is 32", hips are 40", and thigh circumference is 23".
The order sizes are done by waist measurement. And I purchased the 01 Army Green Women's Lightweight Quick-Dry Hiking Pants (NOT The Army Green Summer) in size 31-32. One important note, these pants are VERY HIGH WAISTED and will ride ABOVE your belly button.
Wrapping Up
At the price point of below $40, these lightweight quick-dry hiking pants for women are a bargain. The comfort and looser fit give room to move and scramble over objects on the trails. I will definitely be ordering more of these hiking pants.
